Speeching devices

Audio communications are widely used by power structures, law enforcement agencies and security companies. They also found application in everyday life, business, production, transport, in crowded places.

PRUS Security connects and maintains intercoms for various purposes in Kyiv and Kyiv region.

Intercom types

The main advantage of intercom equipment is that communication is carried out independently of the telephone line, which is more reliable and does not require additional equipment. It is used for communication between two or more subscribers.

The whole variety of intercoms differs in functionality and the following criteria

The number of channels, the type of connection, the method of communication:

  • single-channel - only two people can communicate on one line at the same time;
  • multi-channel – more than two subscribers can participate in a conversation at the same time – conference calls, an outdated definition of “intercom”;
  • wired - need to be connected to the network and transmit the signal via a separate cable;
  • wireless - do not need to be connected to the network, use radio frequencies, easier to install, more convenient to use;
  • duplex - simultaneously work on receiving and transmitting a signal without switching the mode - you can simultaneously speak and listen;
  • half-duplex - simultaneously either transmits or receives a signal - subscribers speak in turn;
  • simplex - transmit a signal in only one direction.

Intercom functionality and applications

Simplex single-channel devices are used in banks in the "client-cashier" format - the cashier has a remote control with a microphone, the client has a unit with a speaker.

In public places with a large crowd of people, when information needs to be conveyed to the public, intercoms are used. External speakers are connected to the device and receive audio signal.

The system of half-duplex single-channel devices in the “master-slave” format makes it possible to call any connected subscriber from the central console.

Duplex multi-line system allows all connected subscribers to call each other and enter the conference call.

Walkie-talkies are receiving and transmitting devices with different functionality depending on the area and tasks of application. There are no universal radios. Different configurations are used for different needs and situations:

  • air radios – durable devices which operate at low pressure and significant temperature changes;
  • auto-walkie-talkies - a convenient, powerful means of radio communication for truckers and taxi drivers;
  • marine walkie-talkies – devices which have a high signal transmission power and are used on floating drilling rigs, on marine vessels.
  • baby monitor – household appliance, designed to simplify the care of small children and the elderly.
  • portable radios – devices used for operational communication and data transmission.

How to choose an intercom

In order to choose an intercom, it is important to determine the scope and tasks. Important selection criteria:

  • Radius of signal transmission - remoteness of subscribers from each other.
  • Number of subscribers - whether there is a need to connect several stations.

Combinations of different characteristics of intercom equipment provide different functionality.

PRUS Security connects and maintains intercoms for various purposes. Qualified employees will help you to choose and install an intercom system of any complexity suitable for your tasks.
